MP3 Tag Display Problem in Music Players

You may encounter the same problem I met. When I play some Chinese songs in my android phone’s music player, the Chinese information can not display correctly. This is because the information is encoded with GBK in Windows. However, the android music player can only recognize Unicode. This is also true for some other music players. iPod, iTune, Rythmbox, to name a few. To fix this, we need to convert the tag information into unicode.

There is a awesome problem, you can download from here. It is called Unicode Rewriter, which can automatically convert your files to unicode in batch. For most Simplified Chinese, the original encoding in GBK and most traditional Chinese’s encoding is Big5.

Cheers.
